Used for determining the ratio between the charge of the electron and its mass (e/m). The vacuum tube is fitted with a built-in measurement scale for determining the diameter of the circle produced by the electron beam when it is deflected in a magnetic field. The tube is mounted on a base, equipped with safety sockets.
The tube requires three different voltages:
Anode voltage: 200 to 300 V and focusing voltage: 0 to -50 V; these are provided by our 365575 power supply. The filament voltage: 4 to 10 V DC; this can be delivered by an normal low-voltage supply e.g. 361600 or 364000.
