Microphone for both analog and digital applications
Microphone for both analog and digital applications. Personalize the microphone by adding the right cable for the job.
You can use the microphone with our counter, our electronic stopwatch, any oscilloscope (through our 251560 battery box) as well as with digital or analog datalogging.
The microphone can be used to determine the speed of sound, or to make a study of musical instrument tones and overtones. The microphone comes with a Ø 10 mm rod and a manual - but without a cable.
You achieve exactly the same function as our previous microphone (248510) by combining 248600 with a 248601 cable (6-pin DIN connector). This combination provides an analog microphone that directly fits our counter 200250 and electronic stopwatch 200260. Via a 251560 battery box the signal is available for any purpose.
The cable 197571 (6 mm jack plug) provides a digital microphone that can be used to measure the speed of sound with e.g. PASCO digital adapter PS-2159 (or our counter 200250). Two microphones are needed.
The cable 248602 (5-pin DIN connector) provides an analog microphone that can be connected to a sufficiently fast datalogger like PASCO’s 550 or 850 interface. (It also fit the battery box.) Use this combination to display waveforms and for frequency analysis.
The manual discusses the different options in detail.
